I don't have a problem, I swear!

I am always looking for good makeup storage and a about a month ago I was at Sam's Club and saw this, sorry link isn't from Sam's  I couldn't find it on there website and silly me forgot to take a picture of it.  I had been using the Helmer from Ikea but I just have too much stuff for it, so know I keep nail polish and some bath and body stuff in it now.

I have really been liking this and it seems like everything gets used more using this system.  Although, I have a whole Plano tackle box of MMU that I never use I need to have a blog sale, but Darling Girl is a full time job and I don't have the time to do it.  I need to talk a friend into doing it for me. :P

Anyway onto the stash!

cosmetic girl, FOTD...Smokey Eye

I have been working on a couple liner shades and wanted to test them out for chalkiness and such. Somehow swatching black's and really dark colors just never seems to do them justice. So I decided to do a Smokey Eye so I could use both shades that I just made.

Playing with recent gifts

I recently won some goodies from Cait over at Swatch Storm and the lovely Mai of Mai of Portrait of was kind enough to CP The Balm and The Beautiful palette for me so I finally had a chance to play with some of these goodies. :D  This look is so much prettier in person!

Face: A blend of Lucy's Mineral in Medium mixed with Pretty Pampered Primer Powder
Cheeks: MAC Cream Blush is Brit Wit
Lips:  DGC Ver-Beige
Eyes: Elf mineral primer all over lid
Sushi Flower (unreleased) mixed with a mixing medium I am testing foiled over entire lower lid
Purple Shade from WnW Dancing in the Clouds, crease and blend out
The Brain Surgeon from The Balm and the Beautiful palette to deepen crease a little.
Gold shade from WnW Dancing in the Clouds for highlight
Eye Liner Milani Liquif'eye in black on water line and PF black liner along lower lash line with The Brain Surgeon over it.

Sorry, I am a bad blogger and didn't take pic's of the palettes. =/

Oh, and for those of you asking the shadow from yesterdays post the highlight color was Buddy Blue from the Rainbow Brite collection that will be coming out soon-ish.  They are mostly duochrome highlight colors that can be or worn alone but look outstanding over a dark base.

What are you all up to this weekend?

We are going to a car race and then nomming on some Red Lobster.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

lifestyle Girl Pretty neutrals

I've been working a neutral collection for month's. My problem is I really dislike matte's so every time I would make a matte I would slowly start adding other things in the shades and pretty soon they weren't matte's any longer. I've decided to abandon that project and just do a "Day to Night" collection. This will be a collection of soft easy office appropriate colors with an interesting finish either a soft pearl or soft duochrome and then I will be making some fun liner shades that can be added to take you from day to night.
Anyway, I decided to do a look with a couple of the colors from this collection, a soft dirty mauve on the inner half of lid with a deeper taupey plum on the outer third and into the crease. I paired this with a deep metallic grey liner and really like that combination. Next time I wear this look I will use a different highlighter this one is way too sparkly.
Excuse the crazy brow's!  Can't find the stinkin' tweezer :S
Used elf mineral primer and Maybellin One by One mascara in Blackest Black.
Cheeks: MAC Springsheen
Lips:  unreleased lipstain
Plummy taupe used on outer corner and crease.
mauve used on lower lid.

cosmetic girl Zombody to Love

I have really been loving navy's lately so I couldn 't wait to play with Zombody to Love (this was previously Zombie-body to Love, but didn't roll of the tongue well) I just did a super simple smokey eye with it, so on to the look.
What I used: Elf mineral primer with Glitter Glue on just the lower lid.
Zombody to Love lower lid and and blended out just above the crease.
I love to use GG on just the lid because you almost get the effect of two different colors.
Eye liner: Milani Liquif'eye in black to tight line, Snuggle along lower lash line, then applied the same Milani liner over it and smudged Zombody to Love over the black liner.
Err, obviously I had some blending issues I needed to take care of, but I was too lazy to re-take the pictures. =/
Face: Blend of Lucy Minerals in medium with Pretty Pampered Primer Powder
Cheeks: Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Tipsy with Ghost Light Spectral Shift along cheek bones
Lips: MAC Fanfare Thank Cait!  I won MAC Fanfare along with some other awesome stuff from Cait at Swatch Storm.  Fanfare is so a me color I love it.
Onto just a little update...I am trying really hard to get the Darling Ghoul Halloween stuff up on eCrater but my stupid internet is cooperating.  I don't really understand what is going on because I can surf the internet just fine and I uploaded the pic's for this post just fine, but when I try to upload pic's to my shop it times out. I am getting really frustrated because I have been trying to get this finished since last night. =/  I am going to contact eCrater and see if they are having any technical difficulties, but I will let you know as soon as it's live.

What is your makeup vice? Inquiring minds want to know...

What is your makeup vice?
Honestly, mine is everything, lol, but if I had to pick one thing. Hands down it would be lip products. I am affectionately known as the "lippie queen" on one of the forums I frequent. Even though I am making my own now I still can't seem to quit buying them, although not near as many. I did however buy three lipstains and a gloss the other day at Ulta and I made a funky gloss to layer over the stains as well as other things. I call it Funkey Monkey, it is a sheer peachy orange with crazy blue interference. Here are some pic of my mini haul from Ulta, as well as Funkey Monkey. I don't think I will add that color to the line as I think I am the only one who probably wants it, but if by chance anyone is interested in it just email me.
lipstains 07/12/10DSCF9755swatchesDSCF9758Funkey Monkey
Funky Monkey layered over Orchid and Crave, Rock On layered over Twilight. I really like the Essence brand because they are inexpensive and I can buy stuff and not worry too much if I hate it. I bought Rock On thinking I would hate it, but wanted it because it was different. I know I am off kilter sometimes.lol I really like Rock On it is a blackened purple but sheer and is great layered over other lippies. Warms them up a bit. I am glad I bought it.

Edited to add a pic of Funkey Monkey in the wand. Doesn't look near as scary :)
